The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Assistant Teacher (Trained Graduate Grade) Examination - 2025. A mandatory first step for all applicants is to complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process and obtain an OTR number before filling out the main application form.

π Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Graduation degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university and a Degree of Graduation in Education (B.Ed.) from a course recognized by NCTE. Specific subject combinations are required for different posts as detailed in the official notification.
- Age Limit (as on July 1, 2025):
- Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC and State Govt. employees of U.P.
- The maximum age limit for Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates of U.P. is 55 years.

✅ Selection Process
- The selection will be based on a two-stage examination process: a Preliminary Exam followed by a Main Exam.
- Preliminary Examination: An objective-type test consisting of one paper with 150 questions (30 from General Studies and 120 from the main optional subject) for a total of 300 marks. The duration will be 2 hours. There will be a penalty (negative marking) of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer.
- Main (Written) Examination: Candidates who qualify in the Prelims will be eligible for the Main Exam, which will be descriptive (traditional) in nature. Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination.
